Eleanor Roosevelt famously said, “Remember no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” While she may have been speaking about our relationships with others this also applies to how you cannot feel inferior within yourself without your own consent. Shame is one of the emotions that we carry deep within and it often sabotages us from experiencing a full and joyful life. In this snippet, Angie shares a personal story about experiencing shame and how she chose not to consent to the shame and buy into the narrative to keep herself small.
