How Mentally Strong Are You?

Are you a mentally strong person; or do you wish you could improve in this area? Imagine someone close to you has been verbally offensive and hurt your feelings, do you break down in tears and become inconsolable, or do you know that their verbal attacks have nothing to do with your character, but rather their own insecurity.

Mentally strong people don’t worry about catering to the opinions of others and you understand this very well. They have a strong set of core beliefs and are not overly concerned with the opinions of others. They realize that they have to be their authentic selves in order to lead an empowered life and this keeps them mentally strong.

Perhaps you consider yourself emotionally sensitive; however, this does not mean that you are weak. You are empathetic towards others and are not afraid of showing your emotions or shedding some tears.
To be mentally strong we need to be resilient and able to bounce back from disappointments. Being mentally strong also enables you to let go mentally of attachments that are associated with the disappointment. You don’t remain caught up in the situation but are able to let it go and move on with your life. You are quick to recover from emotionally demanding situations rather than sit around feeling sorry for yourself.
